CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte men’s basketball program has announced the addition of a preseason exhibition contest against SEC foe, Georgia on Sunday, Oct. 24 at 3 p.m. at Halton Arena, ahead of its 2021-22 campaign.
This will be a rematch of the Niners contest with the Bulldogs ahead of the 2019-20 season, a game that saw the Anthony Edwards led Bulldogs, defeat CLT, 77-69, inside Halton Arena.
Tickets will be $15 with the event being General Admission seating. A net profit of the ticket revenue from the exhibition will be donated to the Jamil Niner Student Pantry on Charlotte’s campus.
The Jamil Niner Student Pantry provides food assistance to UNC Charlotte undergraduate and graduate students who struggle with food insecurity. In 2013, the USDA defined food insecurity as a condition that occurs when people do not have enough resources to feed themselves. The pantry offers a variety of nutritious foods on a weekly basis to currently registered UNC Charlotte students.
