Charlotte, NC – Heading into the 2021 basketball season, the Garinger Lady Wildcats were riding a 40 game conference losing streak. Eager to build the program from the ground up, new Head Coach Justin Clarke needed commitment from his players and staff. He also need a player to build the team around. He was able to obtain both. Hickory Ridge High School transfer Betsey Burnett has averaged over 20 points a game this season and helped snap the conference losing streak that seemed to linger over the program.
