Charlotte, NC – Every year the Charlotte Basketball Network highlights ten players in the area who are a must see during the prep basketball season. As expected, Charlotte will continue to bost a strong array of talent that is sure to bring plenty of excitement to school gyms across the city.

Tristan Maxwell North Mecklenburg High School – The 6’2 senior guard is one of the most dynamic players in the area with a confidence eerily similar to his father, former NBA champion Vernon Maxwell. Committed to Georgia Tech, Maxwell looks to take North Meck back to the 4A state championship game for the first since 2006.

Josh BanksOlympic High School – The Charlotte Premium Outlets aren’t the only big thing happening in Southwest Charlotte. 6’4 senior Josh Banks is the heart and soul of the battle tested Trojans who lost to Ardrey Kell by one point in last season’s SoMeck Conference Championship. Banks has committed to play for the Rams of Virginia Commonwealth University.

Jaden Bradley – Cannon School – In Jaden Bradley, the Cougars not only have one of the top play makers in the area, they hold one of best in the nation. The sophomore plays with a maturity well beyond his years. Which would undoubtedly explain why he is being courted by nearly every major college program in the country.

Jayden Seymour- Northside Christian Academy – Northside Christian plays in a rugged and tough gymnasium. The same can be said of its basketball teams. High intensity, amazing leaping ability and strong defender best describe this 6’8 forward. Seymour suffered a serious knee injury early this year, yet is rumored to return to the court by January 2020.

Daniel Ransom – Vance High School – Ransom is the kind of old school player that coaches love to have on their teams. Willing to play defense and does not need the ball in his hands to make plays. The Western Carolina commit is a load in the paint and never afraid to mix it up in the middle.

Jackson Threadgill – Davidson Day School – Already committed to play for the 49ers of Charlotte next season, Threadgill possesses a shooting touch that rivals the best of them. Patriots head coach Ron Johnson will lean on Threadgill after an impressive 20-5 record a year ago.

Patrick Wessler – Butler High School – One of the most intriguing players in all of Charlotte. Standing nearly seven feet, the sophomore brings new meaning to the term ‘stretch 5’. The big man’s shooting ability along with length inside are sure to put Butler in contention for the Southwestern 4A conference title.

Anthony Allen – Independence High School – After a shocking defeat in the second round of the NCHSAA 4A playoffs last season, Patriots Head Coach Preston Davis reloads with a roster ready to compete. Davis will put his offense in the hands of big senior guard Anthony Allen whose combination of length and speed makes him a match-up nightmare in the back court.

Omarion Brodrick- Independence High School – The 6’7 junior forward will team up with Anthony Allen to give the Patriots a nice one-two punch. Get out of the way when this high leaper gets out on the break, he is coming in with bad intentions.
