Harrisburg, NC – The pride of Harrisburg, NC took center stage Tuesday night as the Hickory Ridge Ragin’ Bulls (8-7)  played host to the Pirates of Porter Ridge (10-4). Led by 6’8 senior Cameron Stitt who is averaging 20 points and six boards per game, Porter Ridge came in as the heavy favorites, expecting to hop back on I-485 south with a victory in tow. Instead, the Pirates dropped its second straight game, losing a close battle, 61-59.

Hickory Ridge showed its defensive tenacity early and often, constantly switching defensive assignments on Stitt, never allowing the swingman to get into a comfortable rhythm on offense.

Ragin Bulls 6’0 senior guard Jordan Minlend had another solid game. The strong guard attacked the paint at will, drawing in defenders while allowing his teammates to get going around the perimeter.

After impressive early Southwestern 4A conference victories against Rocky River and Porter Ridge,  the Ragin Bulls appear to now have some momentum heading into the final stretch of the regular season.
