Concord, NC – Two young up and coming teams collided Tuesday night in Concord as the Chargers of Providence Day took the 30 minute trip up I-485 to take on the Cougars of Cannon. Led by super sophomore Cyncier Harrison who finished with 19 points, Providence Day kept pace with the Cougars throughout the entire first half, trading buckets with its conference foe, tying the game at 30 a piece through two quarters of play.
However it was the sensational play of Cannon freshman point guard Jaden Bradley that led the team on a furious run in the fourth quarter, leading the Cougars through a series of late buckets while running away with game. The savvy 6’2 guard became a match-up nightmare for defenders, weaving his way through traffic to shoot over smaller defenders, dribbling by slower defenders, all while executing sound decision making on the floor, playing with a skill set far beyond his years. Bradley finished with a game high 23 points on the night.
These two teams will meet again for part two of the match up February 1, 2019 down at that Mosack Athletic Center on the campus of Providence Day.
