Charlotte, NC – Jeremiah Boulevard was the location on Thursday night for an interesting match-up between two Christian schools about twenty minutes apart from each other in North Charlotte. The Northside Christian Academy Knights (5-5) defeated the visiting Hickory Grove Christian Academy Lions (1-4) 82-66 in front of an always rocking Knight home crowd.

The young Knights were led by dynamic freshman point guard Jalen Hood-Shifino and junior 6’8 forward Jaden Seymour. The two are combining to average nearly 30 points per game this season and only appear to be scratching the surface as third year Head Coach Erasto Hatchett continues to mold the offense. The silky smooth  6’4 Hood-Shifino used his unique size at the point to see over his defenders, moving the ball through traffic, easily finding teammates in the right spots. The Knights gigantic front court, which features players who reach 6’6 or better, were too much to contain on the boards as they ripped through the glass on both ends of the floor.

The Knights will be on the road tomorrow night as they will travel to Rock Hill to take on Westminster Catawba Christian.
