Charlotte,NC – Loaded with length, speed, talent and depth, the Independence Patriots (1-0) appear hungry for another state title, dominating a young yet talented Hopewell (0-1) squad at home Tuesday night at the Big I Gymnasium. The Patriots, which haven’t lost to a North Carolina public school since February 23, 2017,  put on a highlight reel for the electric crowd, well worth the price of admission.

The Patriots were a match up nightmare for the overwhelmed Titans, providing a potent mix of size and athleticism as they attacked the glass relentlessly, leaving Hopewell with little to no chance for second chance opportunities or defensive rebounds. Senior guards Raja Milton and Andra Mckee were in a zone, teaming up for a combined 29 points, showing an array of passes and shots that only come from well disciplined veteran teams. McKee, whom has verbally committed to play down the road at Division II National Power Queens University was in a zone, providing the Patriots with an uncanny edge that his teammates fed off of.

Patriots guard Raja Milton (4) attempts to dribble the ball to the lane while being guarded by Hopewell forward Devin Mclaughlin (12).

The Patriots will be in action Friday night in Fayetteville at the Hoop Dreams Tournament when they take on Private School power Northwood Temple.
