Charlotte,NC – Charlotte Country Day (1-0) opened up it’s basketball season Tuesday night with an impressive victory on the road against Sugar Creek Charter School (1-1) in the University area of Charlotte,NC. The Buccs set the tone early, overwhelming the Wildcats with smothering defense to build a 42-19 lead by halftime at which they never looked back from.
Former Charlotte Country Day Buccaneers and College of Charleston reruit Deangelo Epps shocked the city of Charlotte when he decided to move down the road and enroll at private school state power Carmel Christian. The Buccs found ways to hustle on both ends of the floor to help minimize the impact of losing one of its top playmakers.
The Buccs will look to build on its impressive start when it hosts Queen’s Grant at home tommorrow night.
